Fanni Koszeg

Before joining JALBCA as Executive Director in September 2022, Fanni Koszeg practiced corporate and securities law at several prestigious law firms in London and New York and served on the US Senate’s temporary bi-partisan Congressional Oversight Panel overseeing the bank bailout following the 2008 financial crisis. She has worked as a reporter and legal analyst for Bloomberg and continues to work as an attorney helping start-up companies launch their businesses.

Throughout her career, Fanni has maintained an active pro bono practice primarily focusing on women’s issues and immigration law. Fanni is an active member of the New York City Bar Association’s Immigration Law Committee and has successfully represented female asylum-seekers fleeing violence and persecution. Having been personally touched by cancer amongst her family and friends, she is deeply committed to JALBCA’s mission.

Fanni lives in Brooklyn with her husband and her teenage son. She grew up in Budapest, Hungary, graduated from Harvard Law School and is a member of the New York State Bar. She is trilingual in English, Hungarian and French and speaks fluent German and Spanish.
