Ms. Trunkes has been an active JALBCA Board member since 2015, motivated by the impact of breast cancer on her mother following her diagnosis at age 33. She has served on JALBCA’s Executive Committee as a Vice President. During her JALBCA tenure, Ms. Trunkes has co-developed JALBCA’s educational programs and symposia focusing on scientific advances as well as legal implications. As a member of JALBCA’s Grants Committee, she has reviewed and recommended approval of grant applications from non-profit organizations providing free legal services to those managing a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. As Co-Chair of JALBCA’s Membership Committee, Ms. Trunkes has also worked zealously to better define the value of JALBCA membership and the benefits it offers to its community, in an attempt to broaden JALBCA’s reach and create a greater impact.

Ms. Trunkes previously served on the Board of the National Alliance for Mental Illness-NYC, during which time she also served as Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Mental Health Law Committee. And throughout her career, Ms. Trunkes has been an active member of local and national bar associations focusing on the construction industry, small businesses, land development and public policies.
